This is a 4-day, 3-night luxury itinerary in Bahía Solano, designed to explore the Colombian Pacific with private experiences, navigation, and territorial activities.
It includes yacht navigation through the Pacific, visiting beaches, jungle areas that reach the sea, and spots difficult to access by land. The outings allow you to discover different coastal landscapes and their biodiversity.
Between July and October, the humpback whale season can occur. There is also sea turtle watching and participation in turtle conservation projects, along with visits to waterfalls and activities with local communities focused on culture and territorial knowledge.
The dining experience is led by a chef, featuring a menu based on Colombian Pacific ingredients throughout your stay.

How to get there?
Getting to Bahía Solano is part of the experience. Being located on the Pacific coast of Chocó, there is no road access, so the most practical way to get there is by air.
From Bogotá
You can take a flight to Bahía Solano with a connection in Medellín. The airlines operating this route are mainly Satena and Clic Air.
From Cali
There are two options to get to Bahía Solano: a direct flight operated by Satena on specific dates, or a connection via Medellín.
From Medellín
The most used route is the direct flight from Olaya Herrera Airport to Bahía Solano. Both Satena and Clic Air operate this connection frequently during the week.
Upon arrival
Once in Bahía Solano, the transfer to the accommodation is by land and sea depending on the final location.

Day 1
Arrival to the Pacific
City of origin (Bogotá): Flight from Bogotá to Bahía Solano with a connection in Medellín. We recommend traveling with Satena or Clic Air, airlines that operate this route regularly.
Arrival in Bahía Solano and boat transfer to the accommodation.
Welcome lunch.
First encounter with the Pacific: The afternoon will be ideal to start connecting with the calm rhythm of the region. From the accommodation, you can enjoy the beach, explore the surroundings, or participate in activities such as snorkeling while discovering the magic of this corner of Chocó.

Day 2
Whales and Conservation

Humpback whale watching: After an introductory talk on responsible marine wildlife observation, you will navigate the waters of the Colombian Pacific in search of one of the most impressive natural shows in the country. During the tour, you will be able to observe humpback whales emerging from the waves, accompanied by their calves during their breeding and rearing season.

Sea turtle release: Participate in a conservation experience that seeks to protect these species during one of the most important stages of their life cycle. In addition to learning more about their ecological importance, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the preservation of the marine ecosystems of the Pacific.

Jungle, Waterfalls, and Pacific Traditions

Exploration of the Chocó jungle: Delve into one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet as you walk along trails surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The tour leads to a hidden waterfall in the middle of the jungle, where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters.

Wonder Tips
1. Why do humpback whales come?
Between July and October, humpback whales migrate from Antarctica to the Colombian Pacific to breed and have their calves. The warm waters of Bahía Solano offer safe conditions for the birth and care of the calves.
2. Behavior you can observe
During the season, it is common to see jumps, tail slaps, and courtship movements. These behaviors are part of the communication and reproduction of the species; they are not a “show.”
3. Olive Ridley turtle: life cycle
The Olive Ridley turtle returns to specific beaches to nest. Females deposit their eggs in the sand, and weeks later the hatchlings emerge and head to the sea guided by the natural light of the horizon.
4. Risk factors for turtles
Artificial lighting, noise, and human intervention can disorient the hatchlings or affect the nesting process. That is why the management of light and silence is key on the release beaches.
